He has been the Chairman of the Board of a manufacturing company with dozens of employees, President of an oil and gas company with extensive mineral interests and an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, he created and ran four companies in the construction, oil and gas exploration, real estate development and real estate investing industries. Richard understands the life of an entrepreneur.

Richard also has a legal background. His resume includes a J.D. Degree and a Masters In Laws Degree (LLM Taxation). He has been licensed to practice law in two states (Mississippi and Louisiana) representing many companies in their formation, their operation and their sale.

As an attorney, he has extensive estate planning experience and was Co-Executor of an extensive estate with varied and complex business interests, which required the execution of many complex sales and transactions over a decade.Richard's passion is to make deals happen by drawing from his background in business.

Gary currently resides in Mount Juliet, Tennessee near Nashville and has extensive experience as a strategic owner/executive. He has personally owned and successfully operated five closely held companies. As the owner of multiple companies, Gary truly understands the business transfer process on a personal level and brings a unique entrepreneurial perspective to Sunbelt.

As a COO for a $100MM company, Gary has negotiated a labor contract with the United Auto Workers, turned a failing division into a profitable entity and led a mergers and acquisition team. Through successful completion of a comprehensive training program, cumulative examination and overall demonstration of a high level of competency in the business brokerage profession and the business sale transaction process, Gary has earned the Certified Main Street Business Broker (CMSBB) professional designation.

In addition to his business experience, Gary has a background in local government serving as a member of the Grosse Ile Airport Commission for 13 years and Vice-Chairman for 6 years. He has served as a Commissioner of the Grosse Ile Department of Public Works Commission. He is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and Past President of the Lincoln Park Rotary Club.
